Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has asked the planners and project developing agencies to preserve the cultural ethos and heritage value of Jammu and Srinagar cities while formulating and executing projects for the expansion and infrastructure development in these cities.
Mehbooba was interacting with officers of Housing & Urban Development Department after reviewing some development proposals for these two cities.
According to spokesman, Mehbooba asked the planners to ensure creating more green space in these two cities besides walkways and solid waste management plants so that the developing needs of future times go in sync with Nature and clean environment.
The proposals envisage both area based and pan city development of Jammu and Srinagar cities.
The Chief Minister was informed that 80 sub projects under 13 categories have been envisaged for the development of these two cities.
