District administration Udhampur suspended Principal of Kud District Institute of Education and Trainings and served show cause notice to other staff after an inspection team found it locked during office hours.
“All the employees including Principal DIET, Davinder Handoo, HODs, and Lecturers were absent from duty without any prior permission or leave,” said an official handout.
Taking a serious note of the absenteeism, Deputy Commissioner Ravinder Kumar, after receiving a written complaint from the Sub-Divisional Magistrate Chenani, suspended Principal with immediate effect served show cause notice to other 26 officials asking them to explain their position within two days positively. The DC has also ordered an inquiry into the functioning of DIET.
Meanwhile, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dudu, Abdul Sattar has been appointed as inquiry officer and directed to submit the report for initiating disciplinary action against the absentees.
