SRINAGAR: Prof Shaad Ramzan, a renowned Kashmiri poet, has been selected by the Prasar Bharati jury to represent the Kashmiri language at the National Symposium of Poets-2025. This prominent event, featuring poets from 22 Indian languages, will be held in Mumbai on 19 December.
The symposium, organised annually in connection with Republic Day, will be broadcast across all Akashvani stations on 25 January at 10 PM. Prof Ramzan will present his poem Tyuth Kanh Baeth, a heartfelt prayer for harmony with nature and its boundless blessings.
A Sahitya Akademi Award-winning poet and critic, Prof Ramzan is an eminent academician and the Convener of the Kashmiri Advisory Committee of the Sahitya Akademi, with several acclaimed literary works to his name.
