The Chancellor Kashmir and Jammu Universities and Governor of the state of J&K N N Vohra in consultation with Pro Chancellor Universities and Chief Minister J&K Omar Abdullah has accorded approval for re-appointment of Prof Talat Ahmad as Vice – Chancellor Kashmir University for three more years.
Professor Talat Ahmad, an acclaimed scientist of international repute, fellow of all the major National Academies of Science, recipient of several prestigious awards, assumed charge as Vice Chancellor, University of Kashmir on June 1, 2011 after being appointed by the Chancellor, University of Kashmir, N N Vohra, and Governor of Jammu & Kashmir State as the Vice Chancellor of the University.
Since June 2011, Professor Ahmad has worked hard for the progress and development of the University and has brought it on the national and international scene.
