Property of two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commanders has been confiscated by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said on Wednesday.

With this, the total number of HM militants, whose property has been seized by ED since Sunday has risen to four.

Sources said that a team of ED, accompanied by security forces, seized the property of HM commander, identified as Tariq Hussain, at Ajas in Bandipora on Tuesday. “Hussain was arrested by security forces in 2012 and remains lodged in a jail,” they said.

They said similarly the property of another HM commander Mohammad Shafi Shah alias Doctor was confiscated by ED at Babjan in Bandipora. “Shah was arrested by security forces in 2011 and remains lodged in Tihar Jail in Delhi,” they added.

However, the family members of these militants claimed that the property confiscated by ED belonged to their forefathers.

Meanwhile, the property of two more HM commanders were seized on Sunday in south Kashmir district of Anantnag.(UNI)
