SRINAGAR: Police have seized property valued at Rs 2 crores in the Srigufwara area of Anantnag district, South Kashmir, as part of an ongoing effort to combat drug trafficking.
In a statement, police said they attached a double-storey house and one kanal of land belonging to Mohammad Amin Malik, a resident of Kanalwan and a repeat offender. The property, estimated to be worth ₹2 crores, was linked to case FIR No. 113/2021 at PS Srigufwara, which involved the recovery of a large amount of narcotics.
This action, under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, highlights Anantnag Police’s commitment to tackling the drug problem and dismantling networks involved in drug trafficking. The move aims to deter others from engaging in illegal drug activities.
Anantnag Police reaffirm their resolve to create a drug-free community and will continue to take stringent action against drug offenders. (GNS)
