The road to Gulmarg is blocked near Sheikhpora Dobiwan by the locals who are protesting against the men in uniform who according to them arrested a youth during nocturnal raid. The police however, refuting the allegation said that the youth has in fact gone missing.
Dozens of locals in Dobiwan area came out of their homes and staged a sit in on Gulmarg road. They were shouting slogans against the men in uniform alleging that a group of army personnel raided a local house during the night and arrested Muhammad Yasin Mir son of Abdul Hamid of Utiko Kunzer.
“The people have staged a dharna but the fact is that the youth is missing and he has not been arrested, at least by police,” a police spokesman told Kashmir Life. On the other hand the protesters are demanding the whereabouts and immediate release of the youth.
