The students of Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) Awantipora on Wednesday boycotted their classes and staged a protest against the recent civilian killings in Kashmir.

The students assembled in the premises of the college and held protests, chanting anti-government slogans and demanding an end the unabated killings in Kashmir.

Hundreds of students of Central University of Kashmir Nowgam Campus assembled in the campus and held protests.
The students were carrying banners, which read: “Stop genocide in Kashmir. Stop killings”.
Female students too participated in these protests and raised anti-India slogans.
Similar protests were held in the University of Kashmir (KU) against the recent civilian killings.
Shouting pro-Azadi and anti-India slogans, the protesting students carried banners reading, ‘End Occupation, Free Kashmir’.
Pertinently, Six civilians and four militants and assistant professor of Kashmir University Dr Mohammad Rafi Bhat were killed after an encounter broke out in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday, May 6, 2018.
