Large protests rocked Bandipora town after authorities announced relaxation in curfew on Wednesday.
People assembled at Pantchan area of the town condemning the execution of Afzal Guru in Tihar Jail on Saturday.
Raising pro-freedom and anti India slogans, the protesters marched from main chowk of Bandipora towards Nowpora where police and CRPF personnel attempted to stop them. The protesters were demanding return of Afzal’s body to his family in Sopore.
