Police said that it arrested a Personal Security Officer (PSO) in connection of the firing incident in Bandipora a day before in which two civilians were injured.
The arrested has been identified as Altaf Baba, Personal Security Officer of MLA Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat
Sources said that Baba has been arrested on charges of opening fire on two persons Mudasir Ahmad son of Abdul Majeed and Abdul Majeed Khan son of Abdul Gani Khan at Bandipora on Wednesday.
Police spokesman informed Kashmir Life that Baba has been arrested and the injured are being treated in the hospital.
Pertinently, both the persons were injured seriously and are undergoing treatment in SKIMS, Soura. Mudasir and Majeed were injured in a firing incident at Panigam.
Soon after the incident Congress leader and former Minister, Usman Majeed, had alleged that his two workers were attacked by PSO of MLA Bandipora.
