SRINAGAR: Authorities on Tuesday urged the public not to panic if blast-like sounds are heard between 11:00 a.m. and 01:00 p.m., stating that the activity has already been communicated by the Control Room of Air Force Station Malangpora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Officials said in an advisory that any such sounds during the specified time window are part of a pre-scheduled and pre-informed exercise, and there is no cause for alarm.
The administration has appealed to residents to remain calm and avoid circulating rumours or unverified information regarding the activity, emphasising that necessary intimation has been issued in advance to prevent confusion among the public.
