Reyaz Ahmad Mir son of Ali Mohammad Mir resident of Beeru Budgam, has lodged a written complaint in VOK, alleging therein that a case regarding murder of his father namely Ali Mohammad Mir is under trail with Sessions Court Budgam, in which 12 persons are mentioned as accused in the case.
According to sources, Police Station Beeru Budgam produced the Charge Sheet into the instant case before 15 days, and the next date of hearing has been fixed by the Court on February 25, 2014.
VOK was informed that the Public Prosecutor Nayeem Ahmad has demanded an amount of Rs1.00 lac as illegal gratification from him( complainant) for defending the Case in the Court of law and has threatened to favour the accused in case of non- payment of illegal gratification. The complainer has said that after great persuasion he had accepted for an amount of Rs. 10,000/- as Ist installment which was to be paid to him (accused) on Feb 22.
Sources said that on this complaint case FIR No.04/2014, U/S 5(2) P.C Act 2006, r/w 161 RPC P/S VOK was registered and investigation taken up. During the course of investigation, a trap team was constituted who laid a successful trap and arrested Sheikh Nayeem Ahmad son of Sheikh Ghulam Nabi resident of Gogo Coloney Airport Budgam presently Public Prosecutor, Sessions Court Budgam while demanding and accepting the bribe amount of Rs. 10, 000/- from the complainant.
