Police on Wednesday said that militants fired upon a Scorpio vehicle at Rajpura chowk in which Ghulam Nabi Patel resident of Dangerpora Shadimarg and two policemen got injured.
The police spokesman said that Ghulam Nabi Patel succumbed to his injuries in the fatal attack.
During the incident, the two PSOs identified as Imtiyaz Ahmad Zargar and Bilal Ahmad Mir who also sustained bullet injuries were shifted to the hospital for the treatment.
In this regard, a case has been registered and investigations have been taken up.
