Police on Monday said that militants fired indiscriminately at the Policemen in Muran village at District Pulwama who were accompanying ex-MLA Rajpora Ghulam Mohiuddin.
A police spokesperson said that the Protected person is safe and secure however one of his PSOs Mudasir who was from district Police has killed while the other PSO Nasir from security wing is stable.
“Apparently militants after the firing incident have snatched the weapons of the policemen,” the spokesman said.
“Police has registered the case and investigation into the instant matter has been initiated. Based on the initial probe it is learned that Zahoor Thokar group of proscribed HM militant outfit is involved in it,”a police spokesman in a statement said.
