One militant has been killed during an encounter between the government forces and militants in Kangan area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
Giving details of the encounter Police spokesman on Friday said: “On a patrol of government forces, some firing took place at Kangan, Pulwama, in which acting swiftly government forces killed one militant and recovered one AK 47 and one SLR gun and other incriminating materials.”
“Identity and outfit of the killed militant is yet to be ascertained. The Operation stands concluded. No collateral damage has taken place in this episode,” the spokesman said.
A case in this regard has been registered, and an investigation was taken up.
