Srinagar:
Forces on Thursday ringed in the relatives of one of the militants engaged in a firefight with forces in Padgampora village of Awantipora area in Pulwama district.
The relatives have been asked to persuade the militant to surrender.
Loudspeakers and other public address systems were being used to persuade the militant to surrender, reports said.
Jahangir Ahmad Ganai, a local militant is believed to be engaged in the firefight in a residential house of Padgampora village. The village was cordoned off early Thursday triggering a gunfight between militants and forces.
