A youth was killed and several were injured in clashes near Chatpora Pulwama gunfight between the government forces and militants on Friday.
The youth has been identified as Faizan Ahmad who was hit on his chest. Faizan, a resident of Ladhoo village was a student of class 9th.
Official sources said that the gunfight between the holed up militants and government forces was underway in Chatepora area of the town.
Earlier protesters pelted government forces with rocks and tried to disrupt their operation against the holed up militants in Pulwama.
