SRINAGAR: In a surprising turn of events, the Army finds itself embroiled in a controversy as allegations against a Major stationed in Kashmir emerge. According to sources from The Tribune, troops under the Major’s command are being investigated for an alleged act that has left the region in shock, compelling worshippers in a Pulwama mosque to chant, “Jai Shree Ram.”

The gravity of the situation has prompted the leaders of the National Conference (NC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to demand an immediate inquiry. Mehbooba Mufti, the PDP chief, took to Twitter to express her disbelief and promptly called upon Union Home Minister Amit Shah to ensure a thorough investigation.

Meanwhile, NC chief Omar Abdullah directed his tweet towards Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, urging him to initiate a probe into the matter.

Adding fuel to the fire, reports have emerged about a government officer in Srinagar being relieved of duty. The officer faced immense backlash on social media, leading to their removal from their post, as reported by NDTV.
