The J&K Police cop who was shot-at and critically injured on Tuesday succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Srinagar.
SP Pulwama told Kashmir Life that that Reyaz Ahmad who was attending a wedding in Manghama area of Pulwama was shot at by suspected militants. “He succumbed to his injuries at SMHS,” he said.
The militants fled with a rifle of a PSO of a local National Conference leader who too was present at the ceremony.
Sources said that the slain cop was cousin of the bride at the marriage function where the militants attacked.
