According to statements shared on social media, individuals identifying themselves as Godara’s associates said Kahlon was targeted for allegedly supplying money and weapons to rival gangs and for acting as an informant. The group further warned that the assault was intended as a message to others including businessmen, builders and financial agents accused of assisting their adversaries.
The post named several suspects and detailed that Kahlon had sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, issuing a menacing warning of further violence if their demands were ignored.
