Qamarwari resident hit by train dies in Budgam: Police

A 48-year-old-man was killed after hit by a train near Sabdan Flyover in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.

The police spokesman in a statement said that today on April 1 2018, one person namely Ghulam Mohammad Haroon son of Abdul Rehman Haroon resident of Rampora Chatabal, Qamarwari (age about 48 years) met with an accident with Budgam bound train near Safdan Railway Bridge, Budgam.”

The spokesman said that for medical attention, he was brought to the District Hospital Budgam by Railway Police Post Budgam where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

“Railway Police Post Budgam has initiated legal proceedings under the law,” they added.

The body has been handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducted all legal medico formalities.
