SRINAGAR: A massive fire broke out in Rahim motors premises in Rangreth Industrial estate on Friday. The fire is termed huge but it was not immediately know how the fire started.
The fire has engulfed the main workshop. Fire tenders have reached the spot and are trying to douse the flames.
Official sources confirmed the fire saying they are ascertaining the details.
Shahid Kamli, the FCIK president who visite the smouldering unit said the loss is enormous. “Nothing with surety can be said but I was told that a car caught fire and it spread quickly,” Kamli said. “The workshop is destroyed along with many cars that were being repaired.”
Kamli said he would be approaching the official to have a quick visit and assessment of the unit so that it can be encouraged to resume operations within a week.
