Congress vice president, on Friday alleged that Bhartia Janta Party (BJP) stole its election manifesto which according to him took Congress six months to prepare.

Rahul was addressing an election rally organised jointly by National Conference and state Congress to campaign for its candidate, Ghulam Nabi Azad.

“BJP stole our manifesto which took us six months to prepare,” Rahul said.

Referring to Jammu and Kashmir Rahul said that he will help the people of Jammu and Kashmir to come out of all the pains they suffer. “I won’t understand all the pains of people of J&K but as long as I am alive I will continue to help you out,” Rahul said adding, “I belong to J&K and my family roots are here. I have with me the love and trust of the people of J&K.”

“People of J&K know how to develop, they just need power and we will lead everyone with us,” Rahul promised.

Rahul claimed that congress did three great works in J&K. According to him, Congress generated employment in J&K. He said that holding of Panchayat election was the second great work done and the third one was about women empowerment for which Congress government granted Rs 750 crore to the state government.

The Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi reached Doda, and addressed a huge gathering in the local stadium. Rahul was flanked by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and state congress president Saif-ul-din Soz.

As Rahul appeared in Doda stadium, people clapped, cheered and raised slogans to greet him. Congress President waved his hand to respond the enthusiastic crowd.

During a daylong visit to Jammu division, Rahul is expected to be very busy addressing joint election rallies organized by State Congress and National Conference.

Earlier Rahul was received by Omar Abdullah, Saif-u-Din Soz and Ghulam Nabi Azad at Jammu airport.
