The train no. 12445 (New Delhi–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra) and 12446 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–New Delhi) will resume operations from September 1, 2025. The Kolkata–Jammu Tawi (13151) and Jammu Tawi–Kolkata (13152) services will be restored from September 2, 2025.

The trains were suspended earlier this monsoon following heavy rains, flash floods and landslides that damaged rail tracks and disrupted connectivity across the region. Restoration work had been underway for weeks, with teams from the Railways and allied agencies clearing debris and repairing affected stretches.

Officials said the decision to resume services was taken after safety inspections were completed, ensuring tracks were fit for passenger operations.

Railways advised passengers to check the updated schedule through official enquiry services or the RailMadad helpline before travel. (KNS)
