Light to moderate rain was recorded across most parts of the Kashmir Valley, while several mountainous areas received another spell of snowfall. Officials said widespread rain or snowfall is likely across the Union Territory over the next 24 hours.

The recent spell of precipitation has brought down the March rainfall deficit from 50 per cent to 45 per cent. While the overall intensity of the weather system is expected to remain moderate, some areas may receive heavy rainfall.

The Meteorological Department has advised farmers to suspend agricultural activities till Tuesday. Weather conditions are expected to improve thereafter, although brief spells of rain are likely on April 1 and 2. Further, light rain and snowfall at isolated to scattered places may occur between April 3 and 7.
