Authorities on Monday closed Srinagar-Jammu highway after landslides in many places of the highway.

Official sources said continuous rains resulted in landslides at many places of the highway. They added that BEACON men are trying their best to restore the traffic however bad weather is causing hurdles in their work.

Pertinently Kashmir’s higher reaches have received fresh snowfall while rains lashed the plains, bringing down temperatures across the Valley.

The snowfall in upper reaches and heavy rains in the plains caused has considerable dip in temperatures.
