rajnath1Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Monday arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on a three-day visit during which he will be taking stock of the security situation on international border in Jammu and the line of actual control in Ladakh.

Soon after landing at the technical area of Jammu airport in a BSF plane this morning, Singh left for the Samba border district where he will inaugurate an ITPB complex.

Delhi, it is said, has decided to deploy ITBP “to augment the strength of the BSF on and near the international border to check cross-border infiltration” and address the issue of “frequent ceasefire violations on the border by Pakistan”.

HM Singh is accompanied by Director General BSF DK Pathak and DG ITBP Krishna Chaudhary. He will fly to Leh town in the afternoon to review the situation on the line of actual control.
