During his two-day visit, the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday held a security meeting besides reviewing the various developmental projects in Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier Singh tweeted that he after the meeting will perform darshan at the Amarnath cave on Thursday_the second day of his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, but due to the inclement weather he canceled his plan, said a report by newsgatherer IANS.

Taking to his twitter handle Singh wrote: “Heading to Srinagar on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir. During this visit the security situation of the state will be reviewed. Shall also perform darshan at the holy cave of Shri Amarnathji.”

Since the Governor rule was imposed in the state of Jammu and Kashmir its Singh’s first visit, accompanied by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba, Singh held discussions with Governor NN Vohra at the Raj Bhavan on Wednesday evening on various key issues related to security management, implementation of development programmes, and positive engagement of the youth in the state, reports claimed.

Meanwhile, the Amarnath Yatra remained suspended on Thursday from both Pahalgam and Baltal routes due to bad weather.
