Home minister Rajnath Singh and Governor Satya Pal Malik on Tuesday congratulated two Jammu and Kashmir police officers for scaling the Mount Everest.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Singh wrote: “Congratulations to the 11 members All India Police Sports Control Board team for successfully scaling the Mt. Everest today.”
“The team comprised of 9 personnel from the IB and 2 of @JmuKmrPolice. I am proud of their achievement and wishing them success in their future endeavours,” he tweeted.
Governor’s Advisor K Vijay Kumar, Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam and DGP Dilbag Singh also congratulated the officers.
“Sh Satya Pal Malik Hon’ble Governor, Sh K Vijay Kumar Advisor to Hon’ble Governor, Sh BVR Subrahmanyam Chief Secretary, DGP Sh Dilbag Singh have congratulated Sgct Nazir Ahmed and Sgct Falial Singh for scaling Mount Everest. We are proud of them (sic),” Police wrote on Twitter.
