Amid complete shutdown, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, along with a high-level delegation of government officials, on Friday arrived in Jammu and Kashmir’s frontier District Kupwara to review the security situation of the state.

Singh is being accompanied by Union Home Secretary, Rajiv Gauba, Joint Secretary Jammu and Kashmir, Gyanesh Kumar, Jitender Singh, IGP and others.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in Kupwara over Rajnath Singh’s visit.

Singh who is on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir had reached Srinagar on Thursday.

Earlier taking to social networking site Twitter Jammu and Kashmir Police wrote: “Hon’ble CM Mehbooba Mufti & Hon’ble  Home Minister of India Shri Rajnath Singh addressed Jawans of JKP & CRPF at DPL Kupwara. We thank them for this gesture & concern.@JmuKmrPolice @spvaid @kupwara_police @HMOIndia @MehboobaMufti.”
