Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Jammu region on August 29 to take stock of the situation arisen due to continued exchange of firing between Indian and Pakistan troops along the Line of Control in the RS Pura sector and International Border in the Jammu region, sources said on Tuesday.

Pertinently, the Home Minister has already taken stock of the situation along the IB and LoC in Jammu during a meeting and has asked BSF to effectively retaliate to firing from Pakistan.

Singh met Director General of BSF D K Pathak and directed him to take all possible steps to counter the firing from Pakistan side.

Sources said that Home Minister will meet the security forces officials in Jammu and will take stock of the situation.

Indian and Pakistani troops are busy exchanging firing along LoC and IB since some time and both are alleging each other for violating the ceasefire.
