SRINAGAR: The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia has officially announced that residents should watch for the crescent moon marking the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on Sunday evening, March 10, 2024, corresponding to 29 Sha’ban 1445 AH.

However, sighting the crescent of Ramadan on Sunday may be challenging, and it is anticipated that the holy month will likely commence on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, in GCC countries.

The Supreme Court has appealed to those capable of sighting the crescent—using either the naked eye or binoculars—to come forth with their observations.

Witnesses are encouraged to present their findings to the nearest court, or they may reach out to local centres that will guide them in reporting to the appropriate court.
