Randomisation of Polling Staff Conducted for Budgam Bye-Elections

   

SRINAGAR: The second randomisation of polling staff for deployment across 173 polling stations in the 27-Assembly Constituency Budgam was conducted on Thursday under the supervision of District Election Officer (DEO) Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat.

The process, carried out in the presence of General Observer Bhor Singh Yadav, was executed through the Election Management System in line with the Election Commission of India (ECI) guidelines to ensure transparency and impartiality.

A total of 1,020 employees, including a 50 per cent reserve, were randomly assigned to different polling stations for the upcoming bye-elections.

Officials said the exercise represents a key step in ensuring free, fair, and smooth conduct of the electoral process in the constituency.

The session was also attended by Returning Officer Afroza Bano, Deputy DEO Hilal Ahmad, Nodal Officer ETBPS Majid Hussain, and other senior officers.

Authorities confirmed that all necessary arrangements are being finalised as per ECI directions to facilitate a peaceful and transparent bye-election in Budgam.
