In a shocking incident, a rape accused in Jammu & Kashmir managed to escape from the clutches of the police officials in a VVIP helicopter.
Reports suggest that the person who had allegedly raped a girl in a jungle in Rajouri district managed to flee from a government hospital, where he was receiving treatment for his injuries.
While the rape accused was being treated at the hospital, some bus accident victims were brought for treatment there. Taking advantage of the panicky situation he mingled with the mishap victims.
Following this he acted being serious and was airlifted along with other accident victims in a VVIP chopper to Jammu for further medical treatment.
What’s more astonishing is that the accused also managed to get Rs 5000 compensation by posing as an accident victim.
Meanwhile, the DIG has ordered an inquiry into the incident and police are probing the matter.
