SRINAGAR: The Economic Offences Wing of Jammu Crime Branch Jammu has apprehended the fugitive siblings involved in an incest rape case,” stated a spokesperson from the Crime Branch.

The individuals in question, Bittu Singh and Kewal Krishan, residents of Nagali, Basohli, District Kathua, were captured in Delhi and Surjan Mangyar, Bani, respectively.

The spokesperson further explained, “A complaint was lodged by Bali Ram S, alleging rape, which prompted the registration of this case. Recognizing its significance to the public, the case was transferred to Crime Branch Jammu (now known as Economic Offences Wing) for a thorough investigation.”

During the course of the investigation, substantial evidence, including the opinion of the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), was gathered, leading to the substantiation of the allegations against the accused, as well as two co accused.

The spokesperson stated that a charge sheet was filed against the accused individuals in a court of law. However, following their arrest, the charge sheets pertaining to the absconding criminals have been handed over to the Basohli Police Station for further legal proceedings as required by law.
