Independent lawmaker and MLA Langate Er Rasheed on Friday held a protest demonstration outside DC office Islamabad against establishing an army camp at Shamsipora village of Islamabad.

The spokesman said Rasheed staged a strong protest outside DC Office Islamabad against establishing an Army Camp at Shamsipora Homshalibugh.

People from various localities gathered and joined the protest, besides dozens of AIP volunteers, Rasheed said that on one side Government is claiming to minimize the role of Army in dealing with law and order issues but on the other side new camps are being established and that too without following proper procedures.

Rasheed said that though our battle is for resolution of Kashmir dispute security agencies cannot be allowed to do whatever they want.

Later district administration headed by Deputy Commissioner Islamabad assured the villagers that “the establishment of an army camp at Shamsipora village will be stopped right away.”
