Jammu: AIP Chairman and MLA Langate Er Rasheed on Friday during the assembly session demanded to establish a degree college in South Kashmir’s Shopian district named after Asiya-Nelofar, victims of 2009 Shopian twin rape and murder.
The bodies of 17-year-old Asiya and her 22-year-old sister-in-law Neelofar were recovered on May 30, 2009, after they had gone missing from their orchard a day earlier.
Rasheed during the assembly session questioned about the injustice towards Asiya and Neelofer “It should be now better to establish a college on their name,” he said.
