MLA Langate and Awami Itihad Party president Er Rashid Monday hailed the announcement made by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed that Chopper services will be provided to tourists for Bangus from Srinagar, in back drop of his meeting with Chief Minister on 2nd March, 2014, a party statement said on Monday evening.
“Developing Bangus into a world class tourist destination has been a genuine and long pending demand of people of the district. Kupwara and Langate area provides the most feasible and natural route to Bangus Valley. Chief Minister had assured me of initiating concrete steps to develop Bangus Valley and the announcement made by him yesterday should be seen as first step towards fulfilling the promise. Though a lot of infrastructure was created in Langate area to facilitate the tourists including construction of TRC and Guest houses during last six years, but the announcement made by Chief Minister will be a big boost to fulfill the dream of bringing Bangus Valley on World tourist map,” Er Rashid said while thanking government for the decision and expected further concrete measures whatsoever required to start the chopper services of tourists to the valley.
