The Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association (JKSA) Wednesday organized Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at various places in Valley.

The main congregation to offer Eid prayers was held at historic Imambara Zadibal, Srinagar wherein thousands of Muslims from Shia community offered Eid Namaz, an official spokesperson said this afternoon.

The Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association Chief Patron and Minister for Information Technology and Youth Services and Sports, Moulana Imran Raza Ansari led the Eid prayers.

In his address, Moulana Imran Raza Ansari enlightened the gathering about the teachings of Islam and significance of Eid prayers.

He said that Islam teaches us to help the poor and needy to uplift them and maintaining communal harmony and mutual brotherhood.

Congratulating people on the occasion, Moulana Imran Raza Ansari said that sacred month of Ramzan provides an opportunity to Muslims to purify themselves, attain tolerance and serve the humanity.

Moulana Imran Raza Ansari also prayed for peace, prosperity and development of the State, the spokesperson added.
