The recovery of an ‘air gun’ pistol on Saturday triggered panic at Jammu Airport.
”Panic gripped the security personnel and the sleuths of Jammu and Kashmir Police, when an ‘air gun’ pistol was recovered from a courier dispatch during scanning at Jammu Airport,” sources here said.
They said the police and the postal staff at the airport noticed something suspicious during scanning inside an envelope.
”When the envelope was opened, which was supposed to be delivered at the address mentioned on it via cargo service, a pistol was found inside it,” they added.
”It was an ‘air gun’ pistol, which was being transported through courier service by the sender, meant for repairing and being sent to his known person,” police sources confirmed.
