The Regal Chowk Traders Association President Manzoor Ahmed Mir Sunday appealed Governor NN Vohra to pay due attention towards long awaited development activities in historic Regal Chowk market here.
While chairing the first meeting of office bearers, after assuming office as the President, Mir regretted that successive regimes have failed to give due development which Regal Chowk.
“The manholes are uncovered, the streetlights are in mess while parking continues to be problem for our valued shoppers,” Mir said adding another season of development has begun but RCTA continues to be neglected.
He also sought immediate inclusion of pending traders in the list flood victims who await relief.
Meanwhile, the RCTA General Secretary Farhan Kitab who also heads media & publicity of KTMF hailed the J&K Bank authorities for commencing work on the much-needed ATM in the marketplace. “We hope it will be thrown open soon,” Farhan kitab said.
