Reacting sharply to the statement issued by Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, Hurriyat Conference(G) Friday said the recent order with regards to Yatra schedule is offensive and aggressive.

According to a press statement Hurriyat noted with deep regret and sense of anguish the observations and directions issued by SASB in relation to Amaranth Yatra and resolved to call a session of executive council for deliberation over the issue.

“Establishment in a bid to convey that the Kashmir is mere a colony has made it clear that authorities in Delhi without taking into the considerations the aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir,  has conveyed that they are not accountable,” said the spokesman of the Hurriyat.

“By virtue of this they have depicted that there exists a state with in a state. The decision has also conveyed the status of state authorities that they are not more than employees and have no role to decide the important issues,” the spokesman added.

Terming the state authorities as stooges and puppets, spokesman said that Hurriyat considers the issue of serious nature and has decided to call a session of its executive for deliberations and added that, for guidance we will get in to contact with Chairman Syed Ali Geelani.

“It is a matter of dignity and prestige and if executed would prove disastrous for our future,” said the spokesman.

While reiterating its stand, spokesman clarified that the people of Kashmir were not basically against Yatra nor they have any jealously against the Hinduism and they would continue their tradition of hospitality for yatris in future also but they would not also allow anything that  harm the state’s interests and added we demand  to regulate  Amaranth  pilgrimage on Gangotri pattern.
