In a statement, Er Rasheed said “The way Indian Govt. is outrightly rejecting the revelations made in the UNHRC report does not make a sense as facts speak themselves. If Army claims to be so clean on human rights, one has a right to ask why the army has been blocking justice in Pathribal, forced labour, forced disappearances, Kunan Poshpora, and likewise incidents. Respecting Human Rights of Kashmiris and punishing Human Rights offenders is not a favour to Kashmiris but the duty of all parties. By outrightly rejecting UNHRC’s report New Delhi is running away from harsh realities and if no violations have taken place, one has a right to know how nearly one lac. people lost their lives.”

Er Rasheed added that both India and Pakistan should allow neutral and credible organizations to visit on their respective sides and whatsoever observations and recommendations such organizations make from time to time need to be taken seriously.

He added that how can UNHRC report be motivated if it has also raised valid concerns pertaining to human rights in Pak administered and Gilgit Baltistan and has also criticized armed groups citing various examples. He appealed militant outfits also to show respect towards human rights and human lived and right to disagree and freedom of expression should be followed in Principal by all the parties.
