Police on Monday informed the Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson Aasiya andrabi and her personal secretary Sofi Fehmeeda that their remand has been extended till May 10.
A spokesperson of the outfit told Kashmir Life that police officials informed its chairperson that her remand has been extended. However, she said, Mrs Andrabi was not produced before a magistrate.
Mrs Andrabi was arrested on April 26 from her Soura residence by a contingent of Police from Soura police station and SOG of Zakura, the spokesperson said.
On May 3, the remand of Andrabi was extended till May 8.
However, the spokesperson said that today again without producing Andrabi before the magistrate, the remand of Andrabi was extended.
“This is absolute lawlessness,” the spokesperson said, adding that Andrabi’s health has deteriorated.
