A day after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah claimed that Bharitiya Janata Party (BJP) thrives on communalism, National Spokesperson of BJP, Prakash Javedkar Tuesday said that the report card of Omar Abdullah led government depicts a dismal performance in Jammu and Kashmir.
“NC-Cong coalition government has nothing under their belt. This government has let people down and now they are targeting BJP to hide their weaknesses,” Javadkar told Srinagar based news agency CNS adding that BJP believes in ‘one people one country’.
He said that BJP does not speak different languages in different parts. “It has become the habit of the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir to change tones as per his taste. He (Omar) talks in one tone in Kashmir and speaks a different language in Jammu,” he said.
Prakash Javadkar said that BJP doesn’t believe in hypocrisy and duplicity. “As elections are approaching, National Conference has started changing its tones. It can’t mislead the people of Jammu as people are well aware about the dismal performance of the present Coalition Government of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He said that BJP never tried to polarize the society as is being claimed by Omar Abdullah. “What matters is performance. Voters don’t get carry away by hollow sloganeering,” he said adding that BJP doesn’t believe in hoodwinking.
