SRINAGAR: A boy drowned in the river Jhelum while bathing in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, on Wednesday.
Quoting an official, local news agency Kashmir Scroll reported that the boy was bathing in the river Jhelum in old town Baramulla. “He has been identified as Hazim Nasir, son of Nisar Ahmad Dar from Jalsheeri.”
The official added that police and the SDRF arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and are currently attempting to locate and rescue the boy.
The police have commenced an investigation into the case. (KS)
