SRINAGAR: A joint rescue operation by the SDRF and Police entered its second day on Saturday after a man drowned in a river near the Vikram Singh Dehri Dara area of Poonch on Friday evening.
The individual has been identified as Mohd Younis, who reportedly slipped into the river under unknown circumstances. Soon after the incident, police and rescue teams rushed to the site and launched a search operation.
Despite efforts throughout the night, the body has not been recovered so far. Rescue teams resumed the operation this morning and continue to search the waters. (JKNS)
