SRINAGAR: A nine-year-old boy was rescued under mysterious circumstances from a village in Awoora area of Kupwara district this evening, sources said.
Quoting sources news agency GNS reported that a boy was found tied with ropes and his mouth duct-taped at a local Panchayat house premises in Awoora-A. The boy was soon after rescued and taken to SDH Kupwara for necessary treatment, they said.
The boy has been identified as Basit Ghaffar Khan son of Abdul Ghaffar Khan.
A police official said that a boy is undergoing treatment as of now. “Necessary details as they emerge will be shared accordingly”, the official said.
