A residential house has caught fire in Pulwama village during clashes between protesters and government forces, sources said on Saturday.
They said that forces launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Bellov village after input about the presence of militants.
Soon after the CASO was started scores of people took to streets and started pelting stones on forces who resorted to tear gas shelling against them.
“One of the tear gas shells exploded under the roof of a single story residential house,” locals alleged adding “the house caught fire spreading panic in the whole village.”
Police officials said that the residential house was out of cordon area however they have taken up the matter for investigation.
