SRINAGAR: Curfew-like restrictions continue in Kashmir parts for the third consecutive day on Saturday in the wake of the death of senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani.

The markets across all districts of Kashmir valley remained closed and some roads also remained blocked with concertina wires and manned by the police.

The government had imposed restrictions on Wednesday late night to prevent protests in the aftermath of the death of senior separatist leader Syed Ali Geelani.

He was buried on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday in a quiet funeral organised by authorities, amid tight security and restrictions.
